Mr. Jason NGAN is the Honorary Secretary, Chairman of Investment Committee and Chairman of Smart Healthcare SIG of Smart City Consortium (SCC). He has over 20 years of experience in investing and leading development on disruptive technology to drive for commercial deployment and exit strategy in the sectors of TMT and healthcare.
Jason has extensive practical experience in the areas of design logic and valuation model on eHealth data, biomedical sensor, AI tracking system, digital rehabilitation process, effective intervention strategy, proactive sensing, predictive learning and preventative training for healthcare and life science. He has been appointed to lead and implement a number of health science related projects for government, university, hospital, nursing home and long-term care facility, and has led both marketing and engineering development of many innovative products and services, including Smart City AI system for Singapore Town Council; Smart Elderly Alert & Alarm system for Singapore Housing Development Board, Hong Kong Housing Society and Hong Kong Housing Authority; Smart Nursing system, Patient Fall Management system, Baby Tracking system and Anti-wandering system for Hong Kong Hospital Authority, Singapore Gleneagles Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, Ren Ci Hospital, Apex Harmony Lodge. The products and systems have been qualified by British Healthcare Trade Association, Irish Health Trade Association, German Nurse Association and US Food and Drug Administration.
Jason has spent years with various multinationals including Rondish, Sierra Wireless, Hutchison Telecoms and VTech. Jason is a guest lecturer and external assessor of the Department of Biomedical Engineering of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, member of the Hong Kong Association of Gerontology, Hong Kong Medical & Healthcare Device Industries Association and Hong Kong Security Association.
Jason holds a BS degree in Electronic Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Master of Business Administration from the City University of Hong Kong.
