Dr. Kenneth Tang is currently Adjunct Associate Professor of the Department of Urban Planning and Design, the University of Hong Kong. Dr. Tang is a professional town planner. He has extensive professional experience in the areas of land use planning and application of GIS in urban planning.
He renders professional services by serving on a number of professional bodies, notably as Founding Board Member and Chairman of the Spatial Data Infrastructure Committee of the Smart City Consortium (SCC), President of the Hong Kong Geographic Information System Association (HKGISA), Council Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Planners (HKIP), and Chief Editor of the HKIP Journal "Planning and Development".
