Dr. Rocky CHENG

Rocky is currently the General Manager of Information Technology and head of Innovation & Optimization Centre of BOCHK, leading group’s technology and innovation resources to accomplish business strategic goals and driving digital transformation initiatives of BOCHK in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. Rocky has been engaged in the information technology and finance industry over 25 years.

Dr. Cheng serves as the core management position of IT professional organizations and advisor of major universities and academic institutions in Hong Kong. He is a member of the Innovation and Technology Fund Research Projects Assessment Panel under the Innovation and Technology Bureau, and member of Hospital Authority Information Technology Technical Advisory Subcommittee. Dr. Cheng served the Chairman of the E-Banking Security Committee of the Hong Kong Association of Banks in 2014, 2017.

Rocky obtained Doctor of Business Administration from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Master of Public Administration, Master of Business Administration, Master of Computer Science from Tsinghua University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, and City University of Hong Kong respectively. He was awarded a scholarship for Business Leadership study at University of Cambridge and London Business School in UK.
