The Smart City Blueprint Luncheon hosted by Smart City Consortium (SCC) on 7^th February was a great success. About 400 guests from the Government, political and commercial sector as well as information technology profession attended to witness this remarkable moment of smart city development in Hong Kong. I would like to sincerely thank Mrs. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for joining us in person to share the Government’s smart city vision with the latest update of the progress, and to extend my highest gratitude to everyone for their presence and support.

As The Chief Executive said at the luncheon: the Smart City Blueprint is just the beginning. SCC will continue to be the platform to foster communication and cooperation among everyone, we hope that everyone of the society will work hand in hand to co-create our smart city.

Smart City Blueprint Luncheon:

The Smart City Blueprint Luncheon, organised by the Smart City Consortium (SCC), was held on 7^th February, 2018 for candid exchange of views on smart city development among stakeholders from different sectors.

Government officials, smart city experts, representatives from I&T sectors, as well as business and community leaders were invited to attend the luncheon. SCC was honoured to have the presence of The Hon. Mrs. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Mr. Chen Dong, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Mr. Nicholas Yang, Secretary for Innovation and Technology; Ir. Allen Yeung, Government Chief Information Officer; and Ms. Zheng Mingmei, Secretary General of Smart City Development Alliance and Director of Division of Smart and Low-carbon Cities of China Center for Urban Development.

At the Smart City Blueprint Luncheon, Smart City Consortium (SCC) invited Ir. Allen Yeung, Government Chief Information Officer; Mr. Karl Ma Chi-kong, Executive Director and Chairman of TUS International Limited; Mr. Sean Lee, Director & Chief Executive Officer of China Mobile Hong Kong; Mr. Peter Lam, Managing Director, Engineering of HKT and Mr. William Gee, Partner of PwC and Vice-Chairman of Asia PKI Consortium to share their points of view in the smart city development in Hong Kong. Mr. Eric Yeung, President of SCC, was the moderator of the sharing session.

Assist Hong Kong to innovate: Vision of TUS International in Smart Mobility
協 力 香 港 引 領 創 新 —— 啟 迪 國 際 推 動 智 慧 出 行

“Our vision is to develop cost-effective and energy-efficient driving solutions with reinforced learning capability so as to provide a safe, green and smart mobility experience for the general public,” Sean Shen (President and Executive Director of TUS International) reiterated. While Hong Kong has been developing over the past few decades, our transportation mode has not been advanced in same pace to achieve full digitalization, he observed. TUS International is very willing to provide technical support to the public transport industry and the Hong Kong Government to improve our mobility.

「 我 們 的 願 景 是 研 發 成 本 效 益 高 、 功 耗 合 理 及 具 備 深 度 學 習 能 力 的 完 整 智 能 駕 駛 解 決 方 案 ， 從 而 為 廣 大 市 民 創 造 安 全 、 節 能 的 智 慧 出 行 體 驗 。 」 啟 迪 國 際 總 裁 及 執 行 董 事 沈 霄 指 出 ， 香 港 過 去 數 十 年 ， 城 市 不 斷 發 展 的 同 時 ， 交 通 發 展 卻 彷 彿 未 有 跟 上 步 伐 ， 未 能 實 現 智 能 化 。 啟 迪 國 際 十 分 願 意 在 技 術 層 面 支 援 公 共 運 輸 企 業 及 香 港 政 府 ， 以 改 善 本 地 的 交 通 運 輸 。

Around two years ago, the Smart City Consortium (SCC) was established to promote smart city development in Hong Kong. Its first gathering, held in Lan Kwai Fong, saw over 300 participants crowded into the venue. On the 7^th of February 2018, SCC held a luncheon which was attended by nearly 400 members and guests from different sectors. Representatives from education, infrastructure, finance, communications, transport and environmental protection, as well as consulates from a number of countries packed the venue, giving people the sense that Hong Kong is truly ready to be a smart city.

大 約 兩 年 前 ， 以 推 動 香 港 智 慧 城 市 發 展 為 己 任 的 「 智 慧 城 市 聯 盟 」 （ 聯 盟 ） 剛 剛 成 立 ， 首 次 聚 會 ， 300 位 來 賓 把 中 環 蘭 桂 坊 的 會 場 擠 滿 。 聯 盟 於 2018 年 2 月 7 日 舉 辦 午 宴 ， 雲 集 不 同 界 別 的 會 員 和 來 賓 更 近 400 人 ， 從 教 育 、 基 建 、 金 融 、 通 訊 、 運 輸 到 環 保 等 的 政 商 人 士 及 多 國 領 事 ， 把 遠 眺 維 港 的 偌 大 會 場 再 次 擠 得 水 洩 不 通 ， 令 人 感 到 香 港 在 智 慧 城 市 上 真 的 蓄 勢 待 發 。
