We are seeking a motivated and technically Assistant GIS Specialist to support the Geospatial Lab’s mission in advancing GIS and spatial data applications across the Government and the community.

| 職責 Responsibilities |
- Assist GIS Specialist in delivering consultancy services and technical support on GIS and spatial data analysis to users of the Geospatial Lab. - Prepare and conduct engagement activities, including training sessions, workshops, and demonstrations related to spatial data and technology. - Provide operational support in the implementation of initiatives and activities aimed at promoting wider adoption of GIS technology within the Government and the broader community. - Perform any other duties as assigned by the GeoLab Manager and GIS Specialist. |

技能 |
- Possess a bachelor’s degree or higher degree from a university in Hong Kong in GIS, Spatial Data Analytics, Urban Planning, Artificial Intelligence, or related disciplines (or an equivalent qualification). - Have at least one (1) aggregate years of post-degree full-time working experience in advanced technologies application or in handling projects related to GIS/geospatial applications (or other similar fields considered relevant by the Government), obtained within the ten (10) years immediately prior to the Original Tender Closing Date. - Demonstrate language proficiency in written and spoken Chinese (including Putonghua) and written English. - Hands-on proficiency in industry-standard GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, ArcGIS Online) and spatial databases. - Experience in spatial data processing, analysis, visualization, or web mapping is highly desirable. - Familiarity with programming/scripting for geospatial applications is a plus. - Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with prior experience in conducting training workshops or public engagement events preferred. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. - Knowledge of Hong Kong’s smart-city initiatives, geospatial data standards, or government GIS policies would be a distinct advantage. |
