Meeting with Government Officials – Transport and Housing Bureau

To facilitate information exchange and help to integrate our efforts to building our unique smart city and thus co-create a better future for our next generations, SCC has organized meetings with government officials.
 
Professor Anthony Cheung Bing-leung, GBS, JP, Secretary for Transport and Housing Bureau exchanged his views and vision on smart city with SCC. Dr. Hon Elizabeth Quat, and Dr. Winnie Tang, both Co-Chairs of Steering Committee, Mr. Eric Yeung, Convener of SCC, and other SCC members joined the meeting.
 
Areas discussed included the way forward to develop a walkable city as well as how to foster "bicycle-friendly environment". These initiatives aim to tackle the challenges posed by climate change, promoting the sustainable development of Hong Kong and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
