Hon. Elizabeth Quat , is the Vice-chairperson of Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong, current Chairman of Panel on Information Technology and Broadcasting, Chairman of Subcommittee on Matters Relating to the Development of Smart City, the former Chairman of Panel on Environmental Affairs and Panel on Health Services. She is committed to promoting innovation and technology, environmental protection and new economic development both inside and outside the Council. Hon. Quat has founded several professional associations, including Smart City Consortium, Energy Saving & Environment Concern Alliance, Internet Professional Association, and just this year the Great Bay Area Low Altitude Economy Alliance was found. She is also the Honorary President of International New Energy Industry Alliance, and Advisory Board Member of ESG Consortium, Honorary Advisor of Institute of Web 3.0 Hong Kong, Co-chairman of International Hydrogen Investment Association.
Hon Quat was appointed by the HKSAR Government as Member of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTPC), Non-official Member of the Task Force on Promoting Web3 Development, Member of the Green Tech Fund Assessment Committee and Nonofficial Member of the Sub-Committee on Development of Industries under the Advisory committee on the Northern Metropolis. Her previous official appointments include Council Member of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, member of Environmental Campaign Committee, member of the Research Grants Council, member of the Personal Data (Privacy) Advisory Committee, member of the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council and member of the Advisory Committee on Innovation & Technology.
