Dr. Kenneth Tang is currently Adjunct Associate Professor of the Department of Urban Planning and Design, the University of Hong Kong (HKU) teaching Urban Planning and Geographic Information System (GIS) courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Dr. Tang has extensive professional experiences in the areas of Strategic Planning, District Planning and application of GIS and advanced technologies in urban planning.
He renders professional services by serving on a number of professional bodies, notably as Past President of the Hong Kong Geographic Information System Association (HKGISA); Chairman of the Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) Committee, Smart City Consortium (SCC); Board Members of the Hong Kong Alliance of Built Asset & Environment Information Management Associations (HKABAEIMA); Board Member of the CE3 Foundation; Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Planners (HKIP) and Chief Editor of the HKIP Journal “Planning and Development”.
Dr. Tang obtained his Master degree in Urban Planning and PhD in GIS from HKU.
