Dr. Meikei IEONG

Dr. Meikei Ieong is Former Chief Technology Officer of Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI), responsible for the overall R&D strategy and execution. Prior to this, he held various leadership positions in leading technology companies, including Vice President of TSMC Europe B.V., R&D Director at TSMC, Taiwan, and senior manager at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY.

He holds a PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Massachusetts, Amherst and an MBA degree from the MIT Sloan Fellows Program at MIT School of Management. He has published more than 100 papers in journals and conference proceedings and more than 80 patents. His publication has been cited more than 8,900 citations.

Dr. Ieong has received many awards over his career such as IBM Master Inventor Award, IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award, and IBM Corporate Award. He is an IEEE Fellow in recognition of his leadership and contributions to Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor (CMOS) Device Technology.
