Smart City Academy (SCA), established in 2018, is a subsidiary of the Smart City Consortium (SCC). SCA is a registered charitable organization under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (IRO) of Hong Kong. We have the great honor to invite the senior educator - Mr. Ma Siu Leung, MH BBS as SCA’s Honorary Principal and the Vice President of SCC – Mr. Daniel Chun as the Executive Director of SCA.  The objective of SCA, in support of SCC’s mission, is to promote education and public awareness of smart cities development and technologies among the public especially the youth.

Through a series of accredited courses jointly developed with various Hong Kong and overseas educational institutions and through providing expert-curated training courses for corporations and government departments (targeting working professionals), SCA will continue to promote and advocate the adoption of smart technologies and more effective resource management within our community. We do this by jointly developing and conducting various smart cities courses and workshops with our local and overseas educational partners.

SCA/SCC has previously curated a series of smart city training for the Civil Service Bureau Training Institute, Urban Renewal Authority, Hong Kong Housing Society just to name a few. The team at SCC has also supported and hosted over 350+ events through arranging expert speakers in the field.  In future, SCA’s goal is to develop a series of smart cities programs that also target different audiences from secondary and tertiary students.
